Moving on to lat-ER twenties

Image
The day after my trip home from DC I turned 27. I am getting older...what happened! Here are some pics of me with my new Pampered Chef kitchen gadgets from my mom. Love them! Chris took me out on Friday for PF Changs and a movie...my favorite things! Thirty is looming large on the horizon...we'll see how well Chris takes the hit this May...it will help me prepare over the next three years!

A Great Trip!

It's sad it is over. I returned last week from my vacation away with girlfriends. We had a wonderful time: Washington DC temple trip, eating out at wonderful local favs, shopping at H&M, monument visits, National Portrait Gallery, Archive Museum, National Art Gallery, staying up late every night talking away, no kids, no husbands, pure girly vacation time. I even got to sneak away and see my Uncle in Virginia and meet my cousin, Cameron (so adorable). Let's hope we get another "window" before another six years rolls by...

My Beloved BDB

Image
A girl considers herself lucky if she has one best friend to enjoy for a lifetime. I've been lucky to have five. This is the BDB (and don't ask me what it means...), my group of girlfriends I met when I was 18 years old at BYU wandering around trying to figure out boys and what to do with my life. Today, nine whole years later, we remain close with a monthly newsletter, even though we are spread across the U.S....from Seattle to Denver to Pennsylvania. We are older (and wiser) than we were back in the early days. We have all earned Bachelors degrees, and Ann is working on her Masters and applying to PhD programs. Most are married, four of us have kids (6 boys, 1 girl), and we all know much more about ourselves than we did way back then. I leave early Friday morning for the first ever BDB reunion. No kids, no husbands...just like when were in college. We will be taking Washington D.C. by storm with the six of us running around the streets. There will be lots of screaming... I ...

It was a sad day for us last Saturday to see our Seahawks lose to Green Bay. Paige loved wearing her Lofa jersey, but it's hard to wear it now...these pictures are obviously before the game started...

new skin

It's taken me forever to personalize my blog, but with the help of my new favorites, PSE (Photoshop Elements), and website http://www.shabbyprincess.com/ , I think I can rest easy for a while. However, I'm a little irked that I cannot get my banner to fit exactly as it should inside my border at the top. Any suggestions??? weird...

Seriously...2008?!!

Image
We enjoyed a wonderful New Year celebration at my brother's house in Vancouver. My entire family was there and in usual Dalley fashion, it was total chaos...but extremely fun! We all crammed in, sleeping 16 plus a dog. The guys enjoyed serious HD football games and the girls even got cut loose for a few hours to see a chick flick. Plans are underway for a summer get-together...yeah! Paige loved being around her cousins! Unfortunately, all my pics of the grandkids together were a complete disaster...so here's my lovely Paige!

Is it over?!

I can't believe it's all over. I just finished putting the decorations away yesterday and my tree is now bare waiting in the family room one last night before heading off with the boy scouts tomorrow. It still smells so good! I'm sad to see the holidays go...it's been difficult to explain to Paige that Santa won't be coming for twelve whole months. She doesn't get it. Until next year... www.shabbyprincess.com

Trying to sum up...

I'm working on summarizing the crazy fun of the holidays and playing around with Photoshop Elements (loving it!!!). Just after Christmas my dear childhood friend gave birth to her second baby. Paige and I made a visit...even with it being an entire week ago, Paige is still asking if she can hold and kiss baby Trey. www.shabbyprincess.com
