Do we eat there too much!...

For those of you that don't know, Paige has a lock on her door to keep her in her room (go ahead...yes, we are bad parents). For the last two nights, she's been talking under the door and it's hilarious...the gist of her conversations are the same, but I'm sitting here now as her scribe. This is what she's saying: I'd like a....umm...medium Sprite, A #1 um...a Kids Meal and a straw Chicken Nuggets AND AND AND Extra napkins & Extra napkins and...uhhh....hmmm....I'd like salt & pepper I'm having more choc-yuck milk Thank You, Thank you, Thank you Okay, seriously, we love Wendy's in this house, and this is pretty close to our EXACT order when we eat there, but I swear we don't eat there THAT much. Once a week at the most, but maybe I should consider cutting back.

Just Like Her Dad!

It was fitting that today, on Father's Day, Paige was especially connected to Chris. He usually has church meetings on Sunday morning, so it's not often he's home with us for breakfast and such. Today while Chris was getting dressed and putting his tie on, Paige begged to wear one too. Chris let her pick one out and she was so happy she looked JUST like her dad! I tried to coax her to take it off while we were in the car, but my two-year old is beginning to have somewhat of an attitude and I decided it was not worth the temper-tantrum that would surely ensue. So...this is what she wore to church! After we were in sacrament meeting I realized how sweet it really was and I was sooo glad I didn't push to have her take it off. What a special Father's Day memory for Chris, and the perfect tribute of love: her wanting to be just like him.

Depriving our Daughter of Dogs

We spent last weekend in Long Beach, WA for a wonderful trip with high school friends Jordan & Darby and Brooke & BJ. Paige was in heaven simply to play with our friends' wonderful dogs: Lucy and Pearl. She loves them!! I've never heard her giggle as much as she did this weekend! The dog-parents were an added bonus, too!! :) The weekend included a trip to the Cottage Bakery (which is heaven for carb-lovers like myself and Chris was sweet enough to indulge my every craving), kite-flying in fierce winds, a trip to North Head Lighthouse, collecting sand dollars on the beach (7 whole ones!), not enough time watching the dogs run on the beach, wonderful food, fun and games! Paige is still talking about Lucy and Pearl..."Where are the two dogs!!?" Thanks Jordan, Darby, and Lucy... and Brooke, BJ and Pearl...we had a great time! (I didn't get any pics of the husbands...but they were there, I promise!)

Let the Reorganization Begin!

I'm starting to prep for the arrival of baby #2...I know it seems early, but when I start to think about all that needs to be done starting early appears to be the perfect solution. When we found out we were having another girl I was excited because everything is already in order. I soon realized I need to take care of baby #1...my sweet little Paige. The main issue is moving Paige to a big girl bed and new room. I want her to have her own space sooner rather than later so she doesn't feel slighted when baby #2 takes over her current room and ALL its furniture and accessories. Paige's new room is a daunting task for many reasons. The room she's moving to has been our guest bedroom and catch-all area for all the "random" stuff: my sewing/craft supplies, ALL our books, workout stuff, wrapping center, photos photos photos, filing cabinets, etc. In simpler terms, it's a bit of a disaster and I've been working on it for the last two years with only minor o...
