Easter Pics

We survived Easter! The early nature of the holiday this year made it difficult to ensure all Easter traditions were completed! Dying eggs, making and decorating cookies, Easter dress frilliness, making an Easter feast, and the egg hunt that lasted all day Sunday. Now I'm just trying to apportion out the candy reasonably...and not eat too much myself. Paige decorating cookies. Hers ended up with LOTS of frosting! (Note: You should also appreciate that Paige is actually wearing a shirt in this photo...it came off towards the end of the cookie decorating...this girl hates to wear clothes!) You Know You're Geeky When...

...you secretly relish tax time. Mostly because so many things from the previous year come together so "prettily" and give me a little boost for all my hard work. It is the Type-A part of my personality that loves this! In our house I am the record keeper. I keep track of all our money (with the help of MS Money), I have tracking spreadsheets of childcare records (from when I was working), charitable contributions, my piano teaching income, etc. I also have meticulous records for all charitable donations to Deseret Industries and other such orgnizations, which now require photo documentation. I update our dynamic spreadsheets throughout the year and keep the paper items gathering in their appropriate "Tax" file all year long. Once Chris inputs all the details into the tax program, I love seeing how close our original tax estimate was to the end result.
