Post-Christmas Fun

Image
Doesn't this just perfectly describe the days following Christmas? (also...I love my new letterboard my sister gave me for Christmas!) These blissful days blur together in a sea of gifts and new toys, a continual grazing of sweets from neighbors and friends, loads of new games to play, puzzles to work on and movies to watch...it's pretty incredible. We mostly hung out at home, but sneaked out for a showing of the new Mary Poppins and dinner at the Hendricks house (no pics). We were so excited for Uncle Scott, Aunt Amie and McCormick to come to town! They were here for a wedding and we were lucky to have them stay for a few days. We went down to Pike Place together and lucked out with no rain! The girls all adore McCormick and he is a wonderfully patient cousin to them. Meg soaked up the extra shoulder rides. They treated us to a yummy dinner at The Sugar Factory that evening. Aunt Erin and Jonni came too! The girls loved this ...

Christmas Day

Christmas morning...love my girls' sleepy faces They slept in until about 8 am and were patient with Chris and I to roll out, get the fire on, music going and sticky buns in the oven. Lots of prep!  Meg was thrilled with her gifts from Santa: Play doh and an Ice Cream Counter, which was probably the number one hit all around. All of my girls played with this over the next few weeks. Legos for middle girls and polaroid camera for Paige from Santa. He did good!  A much wanted Sous-vide for Chris and a new watch for me!  Meg was playing Play Doh as soon as possible. She absolutely adores the stuff and plays at least once a week.  Brynn was so excited Santa brought her "Flair Pens" too! I didn't get quite as many photos this Christmas...just really enjoyed being with the kids and soaking up the joy of Christmas. It is gone in a flash and I just love it so much. We stretch out our opening...going one at a time and really ooh and...
