First Haircut!

Image
The past week I haven't had the energy to fight with Paige and do her hair; thus, most days she resembles cousin "It" (a la Adams Family) because you really wouldn't know she has eyes. Today I decided it needed to be cut. I really like how it turned out. It will make the daily hair-fight virtually disappear because she can wear it down without any probs. Yeah! It was sad to cut off her little curls at the bottom, but I saved one to keep in her baby book so we can always remember. She's growing sooo fast! (Here is a little before...during...after look at the new do!) In other Paige news, she is officially potty-trained. About three weeks ago I really hunkered down and said no more Pull-Ups during the day, and Paige has responded so well. She's now at the point where she will just walk in and go without any assistance. What a milestone!!

Valentine's Day 2008

Here are some pics from Valentine's Day...we ended up having a pretty eventful day. Paige and I surprised Chris at work with some cupcakes from this wonderful coffee/pastry shop in downtown Renton (I forgot to take pics, darn!). Paige and I then spent the length of the afternoon in the kitchen cooking a gourmet meal for Chris. Yummy strawberry swirl cake and a great new recipe for parmesan chicken with roasted veggies. That night Chris brought home presents for both his Valentine girls: Paige a Cinderella Barbie, and for me the news that our new bedroom furniture would be ready for pick-up on Saturday! Chris spent the majority of today (Saturday) renting the Uhaul, picking up the furniture, getting it home and in the house (with a little help from me), and organizing the mounds of garbage and styrofoam. I wouldn't call Chris the most romantic guy in the world (although he has his moments), but over the years I've come to appreciate how he shows his love for me...and he did ...

once there was a snowman

Image
We ventured up to Snoqualmie Pass on Saturday to find the snow. Paige has been singing the snowman song non-stop as of late, so Chris decided she should actually build a snowman. We did some sledding and making the "man"...he's got an awesome nose! Paige loved it when Chris and I threw snowballs at each other. But what she may have enjoyed even more was going potty in the back of the Jeep. I've been hitting potty-training really hard this past week and I wasn't going to stop, so we brought the potty along and she loved it!

Fun Mail

Image
I was the recipient of "Fun Mail" on my birthday...but it's embarrassing how long it's taken me to post about it. The idea is once you receive Fun Mail you post about it, then pass it on to someone else. Mine came from Mindy Hales, and if you want to read about her Fun Mail, click here . My mail included a wonderful magazine, pocket Sudoku, a sunflower pad and pen, candies, a cute box, and cocoa. I'm passing my Fun Mail on this week...
