Girls Trip - Austin + Waco

My mom organized a girls weekend in Austin/Waco in March to celebrate my oldest sister, Rochelle's, 40th birthday. The timing was nice! I returned from Whistler and mom and I hopped on a plane for the sunshine of Texas! We spent one full day in Waco soaking up all things Chip & Joanna Gaines. We ate delicious cupcakes, shopped the Magnolia store, enjoyed gourmet service at the Magnolia Table restaurant and then back to the Silos for more relaxation and hangout. We also took a lot of group photos...holy cow, we really overachieve in the photo category. Haha.  After Waco we stayed in and around Austin exploring and eating. We tried to see the bats under the Congress Bridge, but the first night we missed it (success on second attempt!). This also happened to be the night we took my sister out for a proper celebration in downtown Austin at a Dueling Piano bar. We called it good around 11pm and ate late night BBQ and VooDoo donuts. Whistler + Broken Wrist

We were home for a few days from our Arizona trip before Chris and I jetted off on a trip of our own. My mom was awesome to come to town to help with the girls even though we had just got done with invading her house. We took her to the girls' basketball games and met up with my sis, Rochelle, in Auburn (dinner + carousel rides) before Chris and I left for Whistler. This was a business trip that included some meetings plus two days of fun on the mountain and I tagged along hoping for some quiet time and snowboarding runs.  We went up Saturday afternoon and stayed in downtown Vancouver. We hadn't been back here since the Olympics in 2010. We enjoyed a delicious dinner, stroll along the water with views of the Olympic cauldron and then a late night showing of Black Panther. Sunday we were up early to church and attended a small Spanish branch. They were so kind to us and we were grateful for translators!  The drive up to Whistler that afternoon was so beau...
