School's Out for Summer!

Image
The day finally came to be done with school! Brynn finished the day before Paige. I had traditional balloons and candy off the bus. We had Brynn's neighbor friend, Olivia, that afternoon, so she got balloons too!  Finley and I went to the field day on Brynn's last day of school to see both the girls and watch them play.   The next day was Paige's turn to finish school...loads of kiddos off the bus!  Finley was so thrilled that her sisters would be home all day now! She loves to play with them and this was good day for her!  Our good friend, Julie, brought popsicles to all the neighborhood kiddos off the bus. She's such a cool mom! We all enjoyed a yummy sweet treat! And not to overlook Finley, the week prior was our last meeting with our mommy preschool group. We played at the playground and shared treats and snacks. Finley will be joining some of these kids at Miss Wendy's preschool in the Fall. We had a great time and Finle...

Baseball Season - 2015

Image
(SVLL Jamboree Day 2015) We had two kids in Little League this year and with that came a packed schedule. It was all worth it to see the girls excel and spend time enjoying this fun sport. This was Brynn's first year and she was on a co-ed baseball team. She had a really awesome first season. Paige is now out of the Farm League and into a more serious level of play. This means at least three practices and/or games each week. Because Brynn was also in dance at this time, it proved to be a lot of juggling for me. Thank goodness Paige was in a carpool - seriously, the only saving grace to get the girls where they needed to be each day. Brynn loved all areas of play on Defense. She is quite proficient in understanding the rules and where the ball needed to go. She was also very attentive...which surprised me a bit, because I am constantly asking her not to do cartwheels in the grocery store or the church, but I didn't see a single cartwheel on that baseball diamond.  ...

Dance 2015

Another year of dance came to a close. This was Finley's first year of dance and her first recital. We had Paige choose between dance and basketball this year and she chose (hands down) basketball. Brynn and Finley each had a tap and a ballet number. Brynn has two separate classes for each, which meant she had a costume change this year. After months of classes, and pictures & dress rehearsals the week prior, the big day finally came. Trying to get pictures of them together was near impossible. Brynn kept asking to "make a heart" with Finley. This was the result.. Finley looked like a true princess in her costume. It was very "itchy" for her, however, and a bit painful to be in for so long on recital day. Brynn's ballet outfit Both her costumes were adorable, but her blue tap costume is one of my all-time favorites! Her song (Mr Sandman) and the choreography was equally adorable!! I want my kids to tap forever!!  And her he...
