Finley Turns Six

Image
Our sweet Finley turned 6!!! With our crazy winter/spring, there was literally ONE day of sunshine on Easter weekend (a few weeks after Fin's actual birthday) where I could take her birthday portraits. We had finished our neighborhood Easter egg hunt and a ward baptism and we ran off to enjoy Alki Beach (with Finley's cute Easter dress she got one day early!) For the record, Finley is the most fun of my kids right now to photograph (by a long shot ). She loves to pose and does most everything all on her own. "Mom, get me like this..." or "How about this pose, mom!" It's so fun.   I just love her...  Alki was sunny without a breeze and it actually felt warm. It was a pretty perfect afternoon out there. Things about Finley at six years old:  This year she has become a reader! It's been such a great boost of confidence and she loves reading commercial/road signs anytime we are in the car, big words in the scripture...

The time commitment was a bit more than I had planned, and after it was all over we were glad to be finished, but the girls truly loved every second of this experience. I am so grateful to our Stake for providing this opportunity for them! Brynn really has some impressive stage presence and can't wait to get into more theater experiences and Paige was fascinated by the production/backstage/management side of things. If you know my kids, you can see why they lean to those parts of musical theater. Haha.  I was grateful my friend, Julie, and her daughter, C...
