Brynn at Nine Months

Image
Miss Brynn is nine months old today. How does nine months of her life pass so much faster than the nine months of her pregnancy??? We've enjoyed every moment and I'm soaking up the last of her infancy...this girl's on the road to toddler-hood. Brynn is our little sweetheart. She cuddles, snuggles, twirls hair, giggles at Paige, hates being alone, and babbles our ears off. Her milestones include: A little bit of "Ma ma ma" SIX teeth!!! (Paige had one tooth at nine months) Crawling all over, and starting to work her way up the stairs Pulling to a stand and then letting go! Heavens, I'm not ready for her to walk! Kind of sleeping better (I'm saying this with a smirk on my face...it is improving, but it's still been tough) Experiencing the world of real food Clapping Waving Survived her first battle with a high fever (me too...it was a first in our house) Surviving her older sister with each passing day I just love her smile. It is ridiculously cute and ...

I-chi-ro!

Paige loves Ichiro. Paige loves the Mariner's. Often times when she's playing "house" she'll pick up the remote and say, "Mom, I'm setting the Mariner's to record for me and dad." It's not surprising she was thrilled when we decided last minute to attend LDS Night at the Mariner's (Thanks to a hint from my awesome friend, Jenni-O, we got $11 tix with the LDS group rate!). When we sat down in our 300-level seats Paige says, "Dad! I can't see Ichiro from up here! We need to sit down there!" (pointing to home plate). Despite our high vantage point, she thoroughly enjoyed her "hot candy" aka cotton candy and talking game with her dad. Both the girls were great and we had a wonderful time.

4th of July on the "Lake"

We had a great 4th at the "Lake" (Vantage on the Columbia River). We were especially thrilled having my brother, Bryce, and his wife, Becca, come along for the ride. We played at the lake all day Friday and BBQ'd and played in the yard at the Apken's in the evening. Saturday we did it all over again except the BBQ was at Uncle Karl and Aunt Jana's house, which included a camp fire, smores, and perfect seats for the city's fireworks show. The weather was HOT (almost 100 degrees), which translates to lots of sunscreen, fluids, and time in the water (my bro and his wife have mad wakeboarding skills). We had a great time and wakeboarded ourselves into exhaustion...that's true happiness! Our little group! The kids had so much fun. My nephews were so cute! They loved the boat and were totally good about going for a ride. My girls on the beach. This was a brief moment for Brynn...she ate any sand she could get her hands on. This is where she spent most of he...
