Halloween 2018

Halloween 2018:  Paige as a Beanie Boo Deer Brynn as Moana Finley as a Vampire Meg as Belle and Superwoman (wardrobe switch on the night of Halloween) I take our Halloween photos on the night of Trunk-or-Treat. We usually aren't scrambling too much this day vs Halloween and often it's the better weather day (as it was this year).  The evening ended up being more crazy than I had envisioned. I had been at the church setting up most of the day and had come home with two hours to shower and get myself and the girls all ready. Meg ended up having an accident (one of three this week that almost killed me) and peed from the downstairs, all the way up the stairs and into my bedroom and bathroom. Did I mention I had just carpet cleaned the stairs the prior week?! I ended up carpet cleaning for a solid 30 minutes and then had to walk away and get everyone ready. We ended up having enough time thanks to Chris' new work schedule that allowed him to be home around five s...

Halloween Festivities

This time of year is so packed with activities I find it hard to get into the Halloween Spirit (is that a thing?). My kids remind me that our house is not spooky enough and the yard is sub-par compared to our crazy spirited neighbors that put legitimate haunted houses in their front yards. Oh well. With the TV and the heater out there, it was kind of nice! I remember us doing this last year too and I think it's the best spot for carving! Finley and Brynn completed their pumpkins 100% on their own. I "helped" Meg by carving what she wanted: a ...

Fall City Farms - Pumpkin Patch Time!

Image
After a soccer game in Bothell, Julie invited us on a spontaneous stop at Fall City Farms on our way home for a little pumpkin patch adventure! Chris was at home with the Young Men of our ward smoking ribs, so he missed out, but I'm so glad we went. We loved this cute little farm not too far from home with cute photo ops, legit hay ride, fresh made donuts and hot cider. My kids loved running around enjoying the beauty of this place! Meg especially loved the pumpkin "house" and played in there for most of the time. We were lucky the rain stayed away until we were loading in the car.   Meg and Rhett are two little peas in a pod. Love them! And this little lady is my BFF too! She was single parenting while her husband was in Europe and we rocked the "Moms with a lot of kids" role at the patch pretty well. As we were leaving the patch the wind picked up and the leaves started raining down from above. The kids were sq...
