We drove straight to my sister's house in St George and the kids woke up to cousins!! And here for the record is my apology to my sister...for completely distracting her kids and making it difficult for all to follow General Conference. I repented for that. It won't happen again. ;) My kids were on Spring Break that week, but not the Pettingills, so we tried to soak up the moments they weren't in school. And played in the pool while they were gone. Tough, right?  Paige brought lunch to Addy at school one day.  Paige did a lot of babysitting while we were there while we took care of a few odd and end funeral tasks and also some shopping and eating out. We found out in early April that my Grandpa had suffered a devastating and fatal clot in his back and the end was near. It was difficult news. It happened so fast. He passed within a few days after his children gathered to say their goodbyes and send him on to his next adventure. Of all my grandparents he was the one that influenced me the most...he could see me when I often felt like no one could. He truly helped me find my way when I needed it. I am so grateful to him for his guiding influence, his love, his kisses, his care and concern. His love has been meaningful my whole life. I was anxious to be with family after we received the news, so I took the girls down shortly after he passed, driving straight through in one day and arriving in St. George in the wee hours of the morning at my sister's house on General Conference Sunday. We spent the week preparing for the services and supporting my mom and dad as best we could. In the process, the rest of the family ...
