Pine Valley Reservoir Camping

Image
After having to cancel the camping portion of our Grand Canyon trip with my girls in February, my parents decided the girls should have a night in the trailer up at the Reservoir. It was a lot of work for one night, but I'm grateful they are so willing to put in the work to make memories with them! We managed to squeeze in plenty of activities in our short little stay! Finley caught the only fish...the others had a few bites but nothing to reel in. Brynn was the most disappointed about this -  she really wanted a fish.  And Meg was just dirty and happy.

Veyo + Tuacahn + St. George

The years start to run together with our summer traditions in Utah...and Veyo Pool is one of them, but this summer will be remembered that all my kids, including Meg, spent most every minute in the water aside from eating. Our typical summer schedule had to shift a bit now that Paige is 12 and attending Young Women's Camp over July 24th, which is our traditional time to visit Pine Valley. We decided once school was out we would jet out of the June gloom and head to the sun. The girls are becoming such good travelers - even Meg now that she will watch tv and movies. Of the 18-hour road trip, she slept for a total of 30 minutes (insert eye roll). Once we approached Twin Falls I wanted to keep going, but unfortunately, there were no hotels (within reason) in Tremonton or Ogden, so we stopped in Twin overnight and managed to squeeze in some pool time the next morning!  We had a slight mishap in North Salt Lake with a busted windshield, but we managed to get it repaired quickly and back on our way! We made it to the BYU Store before it closed (that was our goal!) and bought some swag. They all wanted to wear their shirts right away. Go Cougs!! And then our safe arrival in P...
