Memorial Day Festivities

Image
The Saturday of Memorial Day weekend we headed to Vantage. It was great to be back after having the spot unavailable last year! Karl and Jana were the lone boat on the (very tiny) beach. We had a FANTASTIC day!! The weather exceeded all our expectations. It was HOT and there was absolutely NO breeze. All the surrounding areas were windy and chilly so it kept people away. We enjoyed our fun family day together with the Hendricks!  Finley really fell in love with the boat. Every time it went out she wanted to be on it!  A little bribe was involved, but we got Paige to try wakesurfing. She was so nervous at first, but after a few tries she totally got it figured out! By the end of the day she had caught the "bug" and wanted to get behind the boat as much as possible. We are so proud of her for doing something hard and succeeding!  Check this grin...  Football on the beach with cousin Will.  The beach is exhausting - a parent's dream...

Spring Recap

Image
Please forgive the large photo purge here...but Spring brought a lot of activities and now that I was finally feeling better it was great to document and be a part of things! Here is April/May in short form.  Chris had GYGO at the end of April. This year they were in St. George and my dad hosted the crew and made the arrangements at some amazing courses. My parents hosted the group for a huge feast one night in Pine Valley. The irony of the weather was too funny...it hadn't rained in St. George in months, but wouldn't you know, the weekend of GYGO the weather was on the chilly side and they golfed in some rain. Haha. The guys are troopers and I'm so glad this tradition continues! Chris with his Grandpa Hendricks, Brother Matthew, Cousin Will We had one of the nicer springs that I can remember. The girls spent more time outdoors riding bikes and playing with friends and would often manage craft projects outside. Lots of chalk time and getting really messy....

Announcing Baby #4

Image
When Chris and I came home from Hawaii we surprised the girls with news of our fourth baby on the way! We were a little shocked they hadn't figured it out themselves since I had spent the last eight weeks mostly in bed and living in survival mode. They spent a lot of days without a mother, scrounging for food and living with little supervision. They survived. :) As you can see they were pretty excited about it. Here is the surprise reveal... And then about a month later we had our 20-week ultrasound to check out the baby and see the gender... We surprised the girls with balloons out of the hamper. They were excited. It's a girl!! I've been keeping a personal journal about this miraculous baby as I've done with other pregnancies, but in short, we've wanted this baby for well over two years. After about 18-months of medication, doctor visits and crazy tracking, our sweet girl came to us during a lapse of any type of treatments and tr...
