Memorial Day at Vantage

Image
We had such a fabulous Memorial Day weekend this year! We are so grateful to Uncle Karl and Aunt Jana to continue to let us be a part of their family festivities on the lake. We enjoyed being with their family, including all of their kids and grand kids! The weather was so so perfect, and the kids love their time with family at "Uncle Karl's Beach."  They LOVE any rides on the boat.  Here they are with cousins Amber and Jenna and Beth (and her friend).  Cousin Kelly with the girls and Beth's friend Meg had her first boat ride!  She even fell asleep...which all of my babies used to do easily, but I wasn't so sure Meg would give in. I was glad she did.  She woke up promptly upon arriving back to the beach. :) She is the queen of catnaps! But truly, spending two days at the lake (Saturday and Monday), I wasn't sure how Meg would handle it all. In the end, she was a complete dream. She was so content to sit at the beach on people...

Mom's Surprise [60th] Birthday

Image
In early May my siblings and I pulled off an epic surprise for my mom's upcoming 60th birthday. Knowing my mom would be in SLC for my sister, Erin's Masters graduation, we all secretly flew to town and hijacked the weekend. Rochelle, Camille and I flew down Thursday morning, picked up the balloons, flowers, cake, and set up at Ruth Chris' restaurant downtown in the private room. My brother, Bryce, came in just before my parents arrived for their previously-arranged dinner with Erin to celebrate her graduation. My mom was a little concerned when the hostess took them back to the private room for their table, but once she came in she realized what was going on. " Are you serious?! " were the first words from her mouth and it was a wonderful, emotional surprise. My dad did a perfect job behind the scenes to keep it all under wraps. She had no inclination about what was going on. She was shocked and happy to have us all together! My sibs (minus Erin) awaiting t...

April Recap

Image
Have I mentioned that the month of April blew our typical rainy Spring weather out of the water? The sunshine and warmth this month made everything so much more pleasant!! Here is a quick recap of some of our fun: The Saturday of our Spring Break we didn't have any softball or baseball games, so we spent Saturday morning with our Warning cousins watching them play in their flag football game. Grandma and Grandpa were still in town and we love when we can spend time together. And later that night we went to the Mariner's game. Meg and Reed had their first night at the ballpark together!! Meg was stunned at times and a little fussy at others...in all, I call it a success! The kids made their own homemade signs. They are so cute. The next day was cousin Reed's blessing day. A beautiful spring day to celebrate his sweet birth. We love living close by to enjoy these sweet moments in our kids' lives. Brynn had her 1st grade musical pe...
