Finley's Blessing Day & Mother's Day

Image
What a joyous occasion May 8th turned out to be. It was... Finley's blessing day Mothers Day A reunion of my family (only missing my BIL, Bryce) and a gathering of both sides of our family It was a day full of gratitude and joy. I could physically  feel the love. It was tangible and wonderful. We have such amazing parents, siblings, grandparents, and extended family who support and care for us. It was also a special moment to reflect on the love within our own "little" family. With each day I love them more. My girls bring so much laughter, joy and fulfillment to each day, and I am grateful to be their  mother.  It's a title I constantly want to live up to. Chris and I are truly blessed. So enjoy the pictures from this wonderful and amazing day! Most of these pictures aren't mine. Camille took most of them, a few are from Rochelle, and even fewer are mine. Yay for siblings who share their talents! Getting Finley dressed in her first white dress Our family o...

New Cousin: Baby Miles

Image
We had a new cousin and nephew born on May 2. He is a sweet addition to his family and we love doting on the little man. He is the last of the Dalley grand babies for now (the 4th of the past six months). The day after he was born, I picked up my Chicago sister, Camille, and her two adorable kiddos and we headed for the hospital. Nothing compares to holding a baby that's only a few hours old. What a sweet little thing he is!! He was born weighing one ounce less than Finley, and comparing her as a four-week old, I was shocked at how much bigger she is already.  Here are the "bigger" cousins with Miles (Brynn, Paige and Graham) And here are the "little" cousins with Miles (Finley and Claire) Brynn is a champ with babies! ...and she's a champ at stealing my soda. Claire and Finley spent some quality time getting to know each other. Claire even wanted to hold hands. These girls will be fast friends, I just know it. Together they will have to battle their t...

Easter Frills

Image
Easter brings a lot of fun festivities. Even with a new baby around we managed to squeeze in all of our regular traditions... Easter Egg Dying Our FHE activity the Monday before...the girls love it.  It takes them just under 20 minutes to decorate all 18 eggs. And less time than that to crack a few. Easter Morning Checking out the treats, and Brynn already diving in (of course). They are happy about their "slip-slops" (flip flops) and Tangled  Barbies. By the end of the day I felt like I had added two more girls to our house because this Barbie's hair was EVERYWHERE! Since we saw the Tangled movie in December, Paige has wanted to have long hair like Rapunzel.  It's pictures like these that make me sooo want to cut it... And Brynn's bed-head hair is...well...hilarious. Easter Egg Hunt The Easter bunny left a reasonable amount of treats around the house.  I, myself, have binged on these little buggers: I hate to even admit how many bags I have consumed durin...
