Post Christmas Fun

Image
We tend to keep the activities rolling after Christmas is over. We packed up the afternoon of the 26th and headed to Yakima for a family gathering. The major perk of the trip was our hotel stay. Kids LOVE staying at a hotel... And with three bigger girls we have to get creative when we get one hotel room. Makin' it work! I didn't get any pictures from our Apken/McNett gathering (what?!), but it was a fun evening with Great-Grandma Apken and her crew, complete with pizza and a white elephant gift exchange.  We spent some time the next morning at Chris' parent's house. And then spent an evening out with our kiddos! We enjoyed the new restaurant Cowiche Canyon. It was awesome. It was recommended by some friends here in North Bend whose son is the Head Chef. It was a super fun restaurant and yummy yum yum. I want to go back! Other fun after Christmas includes getting good use of our new toys and games. The girls really like the Bounce Off game. ...

A Christmas Together at Home

Christmas Day finally arrived!! My darling beauties are so kind to their parents and slept in until about 8:45. We were downstairs by about 9 and the unwrapping began. Santa came through with the girls wishes... Finley's Anna nightgown which she immediately had to wear. I love her sleepy eyes.  And wedding Barbie  Brynn got her much desired giant Olaf And matching pjs with her Bitty Baby.  And Paige got her kitty. She gets mad when I say it's "creepy" but it does scare me. It started meowing before she unwrapped it!  And then we proceeded to unwrap for a few hours and enjoy the spoils  Jewels from my girls  Each of the girls' gifts for dad  Each girl had a new photo book from mom  It gladdens my heart to no end when they set aside their new toys, and yet-to-be-unwrapped gifts to sit and browse through the whole thing. They love them.  This year the girls made their Christmas gifts for each other....
