Dance Dance Revolution

Image
We made it home from SLC just in time for Paige to start her first dance experience. Paige was initially hesitant about taking dance, but she decided she would love it when I told her she would be with her friend Cameron. It's obvious Cameron has a bit more dance experience as evidenced by these pics. It will be an interesting few months...one in which I think I will find myself laughing behind the "hidden" windows watching my child attempting to be graceful. For those that don't know, Paige is a total clutz, but maybe this will help... And this is what Brynn did at home while Paige and I were away...

You know your life is a bit out of whack when you start receiving mail at your parent's house. It's been ten years since I've lived with my parents and it's been even longer since they've had a baby to take care of! I owe my parents so much over the last three weeks...not to mention my mom helping me re-train Brynn so she would nurse again. I KNOW this would not have happened without her perseverance and help. Big thanks to Camille, her husband, Bryce, Erin, and her friend, Michael, for helping a ton, too! (Side note: I think Brynn has had a special experience spending so much time with her grandparents...she even snuggled in bed with them on a few nights! I hope someday she realizes what a lucky little girl she is). I was elated Chris could fly down and have a mini-vacation with us at the cabin in Pine Valley before he took us home. Chris' mom was waiting for us when we walked in the door Monday late night and spent the last 48 hours unpacking, laundering, clea...

Happy 2009!

I'm getting caught up... Here are pics from New Year's, which included the Dalley-clan seriously imposing on my brother and his wife in Vancouver for a few days. Paige ended up being the sickest she's ever been and mostly slept (hence not too many pics of her)...but she did help ring in the 'Kid's' New Year at 8PM before crashing. As always, we had a great time. The cousins love being rambunctious playing together and the adults love to chat. You can also see the debut of my new short hair. Grandpa with the grandkids (minus two) Brynn: cute as a button...ready for 2009! Snuggles My favorite friend to visit in Vancouver! Thanks for coming to see me, Jordan!

No Beeping

I made it through the airport metal detectors without any beeping yesterday en route to Salt Lake City. My parents are awaiting a new grandbaby in Provo, so they brought us (me and the girls) here to take care of us...while prepping to take care of another new grandbaby. Being a grandparent is tough!! We are getting by okay. I can now pretty much take care of myself, especially since I chopped off 8-inches of my hair and gave it to Locks of Love. I can also do pretty well with Paige. Brynn is the wild card. I can't really hold her or pick her up. Now that I'm off narcotics I've been trying to nurse again, which Brynn is fighting with all her might and breaking my heart completely. I'm trying not to give up and my coach (aka mom) is really pushing me along...today we finally had some success. Let's hope I can at least nurse half-time for a little while until solid food is in the mix. I'll try and post some pics soon...Miss Brynn is almost 3 months old. ...
