My "To Do" list while Chris has been unemployed was pretty long, and unfortunately, still incomplete now that he's back to work. But one of the things I wanted to do together was go to Deception Pass . It's about an hour and a half north of Seattle, nestled in between the mainland and Whidbey Island (I think...). And even though we were there on a day with significant cloud cover, it was gorgeous...but, ya know, in Seattle, cloud cover is a normal way of life!  These shots are from the bridge. We went down and played in the park, which is along the point in these pictures. Playing in the sand And a major milestone was reached on this trip. Chris' attempts to teach me how to skip rocks finally came to fulfillment. It's only taken 10+ years, but I am now officially a rock-skipper.  Lots of cheering went on from the beach here! It was a fabulous day! We had a great time and really want to go back and camp there. 

As I noted previously, we had family pics taken with Chris' siblings and his parents during our reunion. I will keep my personal opinions about the photographer to myself, but I'm grateful she gave my MIL the CD with her shots straight out of the camera so I could steal them and try and "fix" them to my liking. Here they are! Grandpa and his girls Brynn was not really happy and cooperative during this shoot...but I love this... And oh man, probably my favorite shot from the entire session... And while waiting for the photographer (30 LONG minutes), I took a few pics with my own camera before my battery died.  This is when Brynn was still happy And check out our family picture from 3 years ago (July 2008). Lots of additions in three years!! So fun!
