Thanksgiving in North Bend
We played host for Thanksgiving this year to Chris' parents and his sister, Kaelin's, families. We had a wonderful holiday with them! The Sunday before Thanksgiving we spent some time as a family talking about Gratitude and we made a big chain of all of the things we are grateful for. Janet came on Wednesday and was such a help as the girls and I prepped for the big meal on Thursday. I did overnight stuffing and mashed potatoes and they were amazing! It's so great to check off these big items the day before. Chris and I both cooked a turkey. It was a bit of a challenge. Chris smoked a turkey and I baked one traditionally in the oven. They both were yummy and juicy, but I conceded victory to the smoked turkey pretty easily. The flavor was sooooo good. The cute babies during the feast! Meg ate her weight in rolls over the holiday weekend. My SIL is an amazing pie connoisseur. She made 6 total pies (4 different kinds)...
