Thanksgiving in North Bend

 We played host for Thanksgiving this year to Chris' parents and his sister, Kaelin's, families. We had a wonderful holiday with them!  The Sunday before Thanksgiving we spent some time as a family talking about Gratitude and we made a big chain of all of the things we are grateful for.  Janet came on Wednesday and was such a help as the girls and I prepped for the big meal on Thursday. I did overnight stuffing and mashed potatoes and they were amazing! It's so great to check off these big items the day before.  Chris and I both cooked a turkey. It was a bit of a challenge. Chris smoked a turkey and I baked one traditionally in the oven. They both were yummy and juicy, but I conceded victory to the smoked turkey pretty easily. The flavor was sooooo good.  The cute babies during the feast! Meg ate her weight in rolls over the holiday weekend.  My SIL is an amazing pie connoisseur. She made 6 total pies (4 different kinds)...

Fall Moments

Here is my catch-all post of memorable events in September, October and November (Thanksgiving post still to come).  My nephew, Rylan, was baptized. These three are cousin buddies all born within five months of each other. They are all so excited for this big event in their lives. September brought some amazing weather. And since Finley has a modified full-day Kindergarten, we enjoyed lunches out in the park and at Lake Wilderness a few days before the weather started to turn colder. And Meg started to stand all by herself without using any support. Gah! She loves her Minnie Mouse Finally caught her ear-soothing tactics. She likes to fold her earlobe like this or rub the outer edge. Sometimes she sticks her finger in her ear hole. It's so cute and funny and weird and I love it. We began the "busy" stage... Mariner's game with Julie and Rob. Stake Day of Service working in Redmond to collect canned foods. We are a site! My friend,...
