Thanksgiving 2014
We are enjoying this new phase of life where we are staying home for the holidays and building traditions with our kids. It's a rite of passage and one that we are loving! Matt and Dani joined us for the weekend and then Janet and Dennis came Thursday afternoon until Friday afternoon. We had a great crew and had such a fun few days! Thanksgiving morning included a fun family-friendly Turkey bowl. The weather was a bit on the balmy side as evidenced by my kids' shorts and short-sleeves. Chris had nose surgery the week before and I kept worrying the ball would smack him in the nose...but he assured me his skills were good enough and he certainly managed the ball well. The kids had a blast. Cutest quarterback! Because we were hosting, my kids each had to take on a responsibility for the big dinner. Brynn was in charge of making a banana cream pie. She made her crust from scratch too! Finley helped make my mom's famous rolls. All of the girls ended up help...
