Easter 2018

Knowing I was having surgery two days before Easter we tried to take care of the "To Do's" beforehand. The girls got their dresses one week early (General Conference fell on Easter after all) and we took some cute pics in the backyard.  We also did our egg coloring well beforehand. The kids love this and I am way less anxious about the mess as I get older. Ha. Our ward hosted an Easter Egg Hunt + breakfast the weekend prior. We had so much fun with our ward friends! Meg almost missed the actual egg hunt, but sneaked in with a few eggs left on the floor and managed to grab some. The Saturday of Easter weekend our neighborhood hosted their annual egg hunt. Paige was sweet and took my camera out to the park and snapped a few pics while I slept and recovered. She is a good photographer and captured some fun moments of her younger sisters. Finley Turns Seven!!

Finley turned seven this year and all her hopes and wishes were set on getting her very own American Girl doll! I ended up taking her out of school a few days before her birthday to pick out her doll. She and Brynn were in cahoots that morning to convince me to let Brynn tag along -- she could miss school too, and in the end it was fun to just have the middle two girls together. My sweet friend, Rachelle, watched Meg for me so we could celebrate and spoil Finley without the ever mounting demands of a toddler...thank you! Fin saved her $100 Grand Canyon money to spend here as well, which meant she left with a doll and a few accessories. It was a special day including yummy lunch at Cafe Rio!  (Costco run on the way home) Finley's official birthday happened to be the same day as my wrist surgery. I felt huge amounts of mom guilt over this (hence the reason I pulled her out of school to go buy an AG doll beforehand), but there wasn't much we could do about it...w...
