We enjoyed another wonderful Memorial Day, our unofficial start to summer. Uncle Matt, Aunt Dani and Kenna stayed the weekend (although I managed almost no pictures of them or the rest of our Hendricks clan...woops!). They helped us celebrate Chris' birthday on Friday. Matt took Chris golfing and later that night they watched the kiddos so we could go out to a fancy pants dinner and get this man a well-deserved steak! He's been working really hard lately (like always) and just landed himself a new job. He savored his reward!  Opening gifts with the girls that night and cupcakes at the lake with the Hendricks clan on Saturday. Yes that is a 3 and a 5. My husband is 35. Wow. Glad he hits these bigger numbers before me. Paige was in love with the sand on Saturday. Even her face was in the sand.  Catching up with the young crowd...Brynna is a new high school grad!  It makes sense that Brynn loves cousin Brynna.  Finley with her Great-Uncle Gary...

The month of May is spring dance recital time! It was fun to be part of a new community center and meet new teachers. Both girls made excellent progress. Unfortunately, my pictures are a source of frustration for me this year. I'm considering putting the girls back in their costumes for a re-do. They were just not cooperative the morning of the recital...and the sun was just too bright and we didn't have the right shade...blah blah blah...you get the idea. Better luck on the pics next year, right?!  Can you tell she wasn't too happy? But on stage, Miss Brynnie was happy as a princess. She's just so tiny and adorable and flutters like a butterfly and melts my mom heart. I get teary during both the dress rehearsal and the final performance. It's always a proud and loving moment.
